The 1/2oz Speed Cap came in slightly above 1/2oz, but what's different from the 1/2oz and the 1oz is the material. I had purchased the 1oz speed cap a few months before, which is made out of metal vs the 1/2oz plastic. I was expecting metal, but understand that they probably had to use plastic to achieve the desired 1/2oz weight. Anyhow, I enjoy both of them on my paddles and will continue to use Slyce. Will look into the adjustable weighted caps next.

Love the feel and the balance it gives my Thrive! Set up both my paddles the same.
These are the 4th and 5th paddles I have installed the Slyce endcaps on. I will never have another paddle without one. My paddles are weighted to > 9oz so these endcaps allow me to put more weight on the handle which makes my paddle easier to maneuver despite increasing the static weight. Could you just put lead tape on the handle? I guess you could gut this is a much more elegant way to do it. Great job guys!
